Along with the arrival of information age, the establishment of on line information system for higher educational evaluation can serve better for the development of higher education. This paper deals with the guiding ideology, legal basis, and construction principles of the information system. The paper also introduces contributions of Shandong Educational Evaluation Institute, particularly, The Shandong Province University Discipline Professional Assessment Information System developed by the institute. The system holds many good properties such as data upload, data collection, data correction and data analysis.
