| This paper discusses the basic characteristics of the indicators and methodologies of
the four world university rankings by subject. Comparison of top universities' discipline between China and America is carried out, the performance of the first-class discipline in Chinese universities should be strengthened. The paper also discusses the development of the first-class disciplines in Chinese universities, and points out that the structure of disciplines should be optimized. |
